- Secure the hair with bobby pins and mist with the Ashtae Freeze Spray for hold and to tame any flyaways; follow with a warm blow dryer to seal.
- Follow the same steps for the other side to ensure both bumps are equal and symmetrically placed.
- Once completed, You will tease/backcomb the curls to create texture and volume around the base of the head; spray with Ashtae Freeze Spray and diffuser with blow dryer.
- The final touch-up would be the shape and trim of the bangs where necessary.

2. Crown Braid

Items needed:
- *4pk pre-stretched
- Rattail comb
- Rubber bands
- Alligator Clips
- Needle Thread
- Hairpins
- Bobby Pins
- Blow dryer with diffuser
- Clarifying Shampoo
- Volumizing Shampoo
- Heavenly Silk & Shine Conditioner
- Moisture Plus
- Hair and Scalp Balm
- Lock &Twist
- Lay & Stay
- Sili Gloss
- Diamond Hold
- First, you want to create your 2 braids using pre-stretched braiding hair. Wrap the hair around using the top of a mannequin stand or braid holder, creating equal length on each side. Lightly spray Ashtae Sili Gloss on each side. This will help separate the hair, eliminate flyaways and frizz, and give a nice shine.
- Next, you want to take half from the left and half from the right, giving you 3 strands to create your braid. Braid the hair loosely to the end and secure it with a rubber band. This will allow you to stretch the braid’s width while placing it on the client's head.
- Remove the base of the braid from the stand and slide a Bobby pin through the middle to keep the top hole secure and open.
- Repeat the process for Braid #2.
- Preparing client for style: Shampoo Client using our Clarifying Shampoo twice using a quarter size amount. Then, repeat the same step using the volumizing shampoo. Rinse thoroughly between each shampoo.
- Next, apply a quarter-size amount of Heavenly Silk and Shine Conditioner throughout the hair. Comb through and then rinse out. All clients need moisture, so to seal the deal, use a dime-sized amount of the Ashtae Moisture Plus and leave it in the Conditioner before beginning the blow-dry process.
- Blow the client’s hair completely dry. After blowing and drying, lightly base the client's scalp using our Ashtae Hair and Scalp Balm to moisturize, protect, and prevent itchiness on the scalp.
- Using your rattail comb, make a diagonal part on the left side of the client's hair using the eyebrow arch as your guide. The part will stop at the top of the crown, then complete it by going straight down the middle to the back of the nape, giving you two sections.
- You will now apply the Ashtae Lay & Stay around the perimeter of the section along with the Ashtae Lock & Twist Gel. Cornrow both sides going straight to the back, creating a halo foundation. Secure ends under the back of the braid.
- Starting from the left side, you will place your first synthetic braid at the beginning of the cornrow, securing it with a bobby pin at the opening of the braid. You now want to cascade the braid around the back of the head, stopping at the ear on the right side of the head and securing it with hair pins. Ensure the braid completely covers the cornrow of the client's hair. Once placed where you like, use a needle and thread to lightly stitch in different areas to secure the braid and remove hairpins.
- Starting from the right side of the head, you will repeat the same steps, except you will cascade around the front of the head, going to the right, stopping at ear securing with hair pins. Be sure that the braid is covering the cornrow. Then, gently stitch using a needle and thread, and remove hairpins.
- This braid will be much longer since it has a shorter distance to go around. Using the excess braid, you will roll and free form around the right side of the head, creating the complete petal illusion secured by stitching where needed.
- Once completed, spray the Ashtae Diamond Hold throughout the style and diffuse the seal braid together to eliminate any flyaways.
- Now Wallah! Your Braid to Go is complete.

Name: Fierce and Elegance
Inspiration: I have been a massive fan of Disney movies since I was a little girl. My parents bought us the entire VHS series of Disney hits from All the Princesses to Lady and The Tramp and 101 Dalmatians. So I was in heaven when the release of the new Cruella movie hit the big screens. I was front and center, like a kid in the candy store. The movie brought a whole new twist to her character. I loved the edginess of her wardrobe and hairstyles throughout the film. So when I set out to bring to life my own Cruella, I wanted to get some edge over the infamous black and white that she so eloquently wore. Their sleek, polished looks matched my model's strong but edgy features.

3. Fierce and Elegant Updo
Items Needed:
- Clear and Black Rubberbands
- 60 in pre-stretch braiding hair
- White bonding glue
- Hairpins and Bobby pins
- Styling Products
- Clarifying Shampoo
- Volumizing Shampoo
- Silk & Shine Conditioner
- Moisture Plus
- Lay & Stay
- High Gloss Curl Wax
- Diamond Hold
- Sili Gloss
Steps:
- Base scalp using the hair and scalp balm
- Place a nickel size of Ashtae Curl Wax in the palm of your hand and emulsify it. Next, using Ashtae Curl Wax in your hand, gather the hair up into a ponytail at the top center of the crown.
- Once gathered and smooth. Apply the Ashtae Lay and Stay around the perimeter of the entire head.
- Smooth into place and secure with a rubber band.
- To seal and hold the ponytail, mist the Ashtae Freeze Spray around the entire head and diffuse with the blow dryer.
- Now, braid the end of the ponytail into a 3-strand braid and wrap around the base, creating a knot.
- To secure your braiding hair, you will need one pk of white and black 60 in pre-stretch braiding hair. Then, wrap a rubberband mid-shaft of the white braiding hair to create an anchor. Using the other end of the rubberband, wrap around the base of the knot to secure it.
- Use the same method for black braiding hair. But keep hair separate.
- There should be one side with white braiding hair and the other with black hair.
- Separate the white hair into two sections. Spray Ashtae Sili Gloss to section. Take a section and two-strand twist all the way to the end, secure with a rubber band. Next, take the other section, and two strands twist all the way to the end. Secure with a rubber band, then you should have two braids.
- Repeat the previous step to prep the black braiding hair.
- Starting with one of the black braided twists, begin to wind the hair to start to form the knots. Pin the knots to the side of your foundation knot of the client's hair to secure. As you wind, the knots will become taller. Take the second black twist and begin to wind to continue building your tower foundation. Secure as you continue.
- Repeat the previous step with a white two-strand twist on the other side of the foundation knot.
- Now, you should have two even-knotted towers. To secure the two sections together seamlessly, you must place a few dots of white hair-bonding glue.
- Press the left and right side knots together until dry.
- Finally, spray the Ashtae Diamond Hold and Sili Gloss around the entire top knot and diffuse to secure knots and fly away together.
